Obamas’ flight to Palm Springs diverted because of weather

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama arrived at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside on Friday evening after nasty climate constrained their airplane to redirect from the Palm Springs International Airport.

The plane had not yet touched base in Palm Springs by 4:45 p.m. PT, around six hours after the couple left Donald Trump's introduction in Washington, D.C. Stormy climate kept the flying machine under control, air terminal official executive Tom Nolan said. The Obamas rather arrived around 5:45 p.m. at March, spectators affirmed.
