Woman Sues L’Oréal, Claiming Hair Relaxer Caused Burns and Hair Loss

L'Oréal is the subject of another claim after a lady asserted a hair relaxer produced by the organization left her somewhat uncovered.

Delicia Taylor says in the claim that the item left her with bare spots, blazes, rankling, and scabs on her scalp, per authoritative reports acquired by TMZ. She's suing for more than $5 million in harms.

The item is Optimum Amla Legend No-Mix, No-Lye Relaxer, a hair relaxer that is advertised to African-American ladies under the Soft Sheen-Carson mark. The relaxer's bundling guarantees "more full, silkier hair" for $9.99.

Taylor's claim comes only one month after a class-activity suit was documented against the organization in the interest of 100,000 ladies who likewise guarantee that the organization's relaxer causes male pattern baldness.

That claim, which was recorded in a California government court in September, affirms that the relaxer causes "aggravating and troubling wounds including male pattern baldness and breakage and additionally scalp bothering, rankles and blazes," per the AFP.

In September, a L'Oréal representative told the AFP that "relaxers are specialized items that can be utilized securely as per the directions." (L'Oréal did not react to Yahoo Beauty's ask for input on the most recent claim.)
