Jean Carruthers Honored with Stegman Award

The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) as of late granted Jean D. Carruthers, M.D., of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the Samuel J. Stegman Award for Distinguished Service.

The Stegman Award – exhibited to Dr. Carruthers amid the 2016 ASDS Annual Meeting in New Orleans – respects people who have made significant commitments in promoting the objectives of ASDS in instruction, hierarchical administration and research.

The honor perceives Dr. Carruthers as a pioneer in the restorative utilization of botulinum poison. Together with her significant other, Alastair Carruthers, F.R.C.P.C., Dr. Carruthers initiated investigate into the utilization of botulinum poison to treat glabellar wrinkles, or brow glare lines.
