2 named to Game and Parks Commission

Two new individuals have been selected to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and one has been re-delegated.

Jim Ernst of Columbus and Rick Brandt of Roca will speak to District 3 in upper east Nebraska and District 8 in Lancaster County, individually.

Pat Berggren of Broken Bow has been reappointed in District 6 in the Sandhills and north-focal Nebraska. The four-year terms begin Jan. 15, and the commission's next meeting is Jan. 20 in Lincoln.

Ernst, president of Ernst Auto Center and Ernst Toyota, is energetic about preservation and nature and long has been dynamic in Ducks Unlimited, Gov. Pete Ricketts' office said in a news discharge. His different advantages incorporate chasing, angling, outdoors, sculling and stops.

Brandt, president of Brandt Excavating in Lincoln, said his arrangement is a blessing from heaven. "Fundamentally, I need our kids and our youngsters' kids to have what we have today — or better," he said.

Berggren was selected in March to finish the term of his dad, Lynn Berggren, who passed on a year ago.
