Franciscan hospitals names new leader

Three of Franciscan Alliance's Northwest Indiana healing centers have another pioneer.

Patrick Maloney, who presently heads two clinics in the western rural areas, has been named president and CEO of the Franciscan Health grounds in Dyer, Hammond and Munster compelling Oct. 31.

"Patrick Maloney is the ideal mix of everything that we search for in a visionary pioneer," Kevin Leahy, president and CEO of Mishawaka-based Franciscan Alliance, said in an announcement.

"He has a demonstrated capacity to execute an activity while never dismissing what is really imperative — the wellbeing and welfare of the patients that we are advantaged to serve."

Maloney is presently CEO of West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois, and Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois, which are both possessed by revenue driven doctor's facility framework Tenet Healthcare.

Franciscan said it picked Maloney in light of the fact that, amid his time in charge, those doctor's facilities saw development in obstetrics, intense restoration and bariatric surgery volume, an ascent in patient fulfillment and wellbeing and a reduction in re-confirmations.

Maloney assumes control for Dr. Matthew Teolis, who had been the interval president and CEO of the three Franciscan healing facilities since May and will come back to his occupation as VP of medicinal issues. Teolis' antecedent, Michael Stenger, had left for individual and family reasons subsequent to beginning in July 2015.

"Mission-based social insurance was what I was looking for — and discovered — at Franciscan Health," Maloney expressed. "This is an association that grasps similar qualities I do: regard forever, loyalty to its central goal, humane concern, upbeat administration and Christian stewardship."
