Free diabetes screenings, kids' activities at Community Walk to Stop Diabetes Saturday

The yearly Community Walk to Stop Diabetes is being held Saturday at Miller's Landing close to Omaha's riverfront.

The walk begins at 10 a.m. Members can pick between 3-mile or 1-mile separations.

There additionally will be free diabetes screenings, a wellbeing reasonable and children's exercises. Hy-Vee will give solid back end snacks.

The walk is free, however gifts to the American Diabetes Association are empowered.

Kalya Zebrowski of the association's Omaha section said the walk "is a festival of trust and an opportunity to raise basic assets to stop diabetes."
