BALLOCHMYLE Hospital has been honored with a cairn and plaque for the part it played in treating warriors harmed amid the second world war.
The inhabitants of Ballochmyle Estate and the Mauchline Burns Club consolidated to recognize the work of the healing center and Burns' bonnie young lady.
The cairn and plaque were revealed on Wednesday October 19.
Sir Kenneth Calman revealed the dedicatory a cairn and plaque to check the work of the healing center in both war and peace time.
As a wartime focus it treated administration work force from different battlefields including the D Day arrivals.
It was universally acclaimed for the plastic surgery unit managing both Scottish and London barrage casualties.
The plaque in memory of Wilhelmina Alexander, the bonnie girl of Ballochmyle, was fittingly revealed by Lady Hagart-Alexander, spouse of the late Sir Claud Alexander, an immediate relative of Wilhelmina's sibling.
Around 130 individuals turned up on a magnificently sunny day for the revealing including previous specialists and medical attendants at the doctor's facility. They then made a beeline for Ballochmyle Golf Club for tea and espresso.
