Yes, Men Can Have Periods and We Need to Talk About Them

I haven't bled in three years. I'm blessed to be one of the trans folks whose periods halted when I began taking testosterone.

This is in no way, shape or form a widespread affair even among trans individuals taking testosterone, and a large number of my companions have either kept bleeding or have unending spotting. Numerous others don't take testosterone, either in light of the fact that it isn't a good fit for them, or on the grounds that the social insurance framework has kept them holding up.

As of late, the side of Twitter intrigued by woman's rights and sexual orientation assorted qualities had a line over transgender consideration. This has been an issue in women's activist circles for a long time, as individuals arrange who is inside and who is outside the circle of women's activists' worry. On Twitter these sort of limit question have been a lasting issue.

For this situation, the trigger was the drifting hashtag #ifmenhadperiods. Intended to highlight the ways that sexism plays out around the subject of period, for example, through an absence of therapeutic advancement or material bolster—it was completely scrutinized for being both mistaken and onerous. Why? First off, a few men do have periods—and numerous ladies don't.
