Charlotte-Area High School Basketball Players of the Week

Young men Players of the Week

Devon Dotson, Providence Day: Named all-competition at the prestigious Chick-Fil-A competition for second in a row year. Dotson found the middle value of 26 focuses, nine bounce back and had 34 focuses and 10 bounce back against state control Cannon School Friday.

Jairus Hamilton, Cannon School: 26 focuses, on 12-for-19 shooting, in addition to 10 bounce back and four helps with a 76-61 win over No. 5 Providence Day at the Chick-Fil-A Classic in Columbia Friday. Hamilton, a main 30 national enlist, was named to the all-competition group. In three recreations, Hamilton had 94 focuses and 23 bounce back.

Sage Surratt, Lincolnton: Scored vocation high 55 focuses against Bandys a week ago, a main 10 single-amusement scoring execution in N.C. Secondary School Athletic Association history. In three diversions a week ago, Surratt scored 110 focuses.

Jaden Springer, Rocky River: Springer, the state's top select in the class of 2020, had a profession high 39 focuses in a 75-55 win over Northside Christian. He had 27 focuses in a win over Harding Friday.

Trey Wertz, Providence Day: Averaged 23 focuses, seven bounce back at the Chick-Fil-A; had 32 focuses, 10 bounce back against provincial power John Carroll (TN)

Young ladies Players of the Week

Sarah Billiard, Covenant Day: Led her group to the Queen City Clash title Friday with 23 focuses, 24 bounce back, seven squares in win over Independence. Likewise had 27 focuses, 21 bounce back against Rabun Gap; and 23 focuses, 19 bounce back against Porter Gaud.

Rinnah Green, Butler: 19 focuses in a 52-39 agitate win over Rock Hill in the title of a week ago's YC Winborn competition. Green was named competition MVP.

Predetermination Johnson, East Lincoln: 32 focuses, 14 bounce back, three takes in a 62-44 win over Bunker Hill last Tuesday; 29 focuses, 12 bounce back, eight helps, four takes, four pieces in a 70-49 win over Fort Mill Comenius Wednesday.

Christiana McLean, Carmel Christian: In her first week over from ACL surgery, McLean earned all-competition respects at the Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational in Myrtle Beach. The sophomore had 16 focuses, 14 bounce back, seven takes, six helps with a 62-60 win over Socastee last Tuesday.

Gabby Smith, Hickory Ridge: 20 focuses, 13 bounce back in win over Cox Mill last Monday; 19 focuses, 12 bounce back in a win over Carson Tuesday.
