Judge dismisses sex charges against ex-Michigan State star

Rock, Mich. (AP) — A judge has rejected all charges against previous Michigan State b-ball star Mateen Cleaves, who was blamed for sexually ambushing a lady after a philanthropy golf occasion.

Judge Cathy Dowd in Flint, Michigan, said Monday there wasn't sufficient proof to send Cleaves to trial. Prosecutors can offer.

A lady said she twice attempted to make tracks in an opposite direction from Cleaves however was maneuvered once again into a motel room and sexually ambushed in September 2015. A witness affirmed that she saw the lady attempt to get away from a room at the Knights Inn close Flint.

However, a cop said the lady never showed that she was ambushed. Severs argued not liable.

The Associated Press for the most part doesn't name individuals who say they were sexually struck. Divides drove Michigan State to the 2000 national title.
