Massimo Cellino Didn’t Order Me To Lose Weight, He Said Eat Pasta – Ex-Leeds Boss Steve Evans

Steve Evans demands that Massimo Cellino did not instruct him to get more fit at Leeds United and rather constantly urged him to eat pasta.

The Scot's contracting wastline was a component of his time as Leeds manager, which commenced in October a year ago and finished the previous summer, when Cellino picked to release him and got previous Swansea City supervisor Garry Monk to supplant him.

Evans says he has heard it said that Cellino instructed him to shed the pounds, however demands nothing could be further from reality, as he chose to make a move because of his wellbeing.

"The weight reduction was something I attempted myself, just before Christmas a year ago. I've lost around four and half stone with everything taken into account", Evans, now Mansfield Town director, told writer Simon Austin.

"Living far from my family and eating late was incurring significant injury", the Scot proceeded.

"I would watch recreations three or four days a week and my wellbeing was not the best. I attempted to change that.

"I've heard individuals say it was Mr Cellino who instructed me to lose the weight, which is very entertaining truly.

"We used to go for supper a couple times each week.

"I'd just have soup and he'd be stating 'Steve, Steve, go ahead, have some pasta'", Evans, 54, included.

Evans drove Leeds to a complete of thirteenth spot in the Championship last term and had promised to make the playoffs if continued for the present battle.

As of now under Monk, the Whites sit in fifth spot in the table and seem all set to put in a real advancement push following quite a long while of underachievement.
