No less than three officers lost their lives while two others were harmed after a few fear mongers opened fire at an Indian Army escort on the Srinagar-Jammu parkway in the Pampore town of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama area on Saturday.
The assault occurred in the Kadlabal range of the town notwithstanding security staff being available as Road Opening Party (ROP). As indicated by reports, fear based oppressors on cruisers opened fire at vehicles conveying officers of the Indian Army on the expressway.
"In the late evening, we heard terminating when an Army guard was going through town. A gigantic hunt operation is in progress, and every one of the vehicles proceeding onward the national interstate are being checked," Manzoor Ahmad, an occupant of Pampore, told the Indian Express.

As per authorities, psychological oppressors having a place with Lashkar-e-Toiba or Hizbul Mujahedeen working in Pulwama could be behind the assault.
"Psychological militants assaulted on which the security powers countered. Open was available so couldn't fire transparently, yet fear mongers were compelled to flee," CRPF Inspector-General was cited as saying by ANI.
The abutting local locations have been cordoned off by security powers.
A hunt operation to find the fear based oppressors is as of now in progress in Pampore which is situated on the eastern side of Jhelum River on the Srinagar-Jammu parkway.
