Teenager’s plan to help kids in Uganda

An understudy from Hemel is raising cash so she can go and help kids in Uganda.

Sophie Chapman arrangements to partake in East African Playgrounds, a venture to construct a chidren's play area.

Sophie, who is contemplating tourism administration at the University of Hertfordshire, needs to raise £800 for the philanthropy and about £1,000 for her flights and protection.

Previous Longdean student Sophie, matured 18, is because of fly out to Uganda for a month in June.

She said: "I am to a great degree inspired by this venture since one of my A-levels was Children's Play, Learning and Development, and I figured out how critical play is for kids' improvement, particularly physically and inwardly.

"I will assemble a play area for one of Uganda school's to help the youngsters have the chance to play and associate outside of the classroom."

Sophie included: "I have never participated in a venture like this before so it is unquestionably a jump out of my customary range of familiarity however when I saw the blurb at my college I needed to partake in the venture."
